Cajón de Peñas is a fresh water reservoir located in Jalisco, Mexico. It is situated in the Sierra de Quila mountain range, between the municipalities of Tecolotlán and San Gabriel. The reservoir was created by the construction of a dam on the Cajón de Peñas River in the 1950s.
